Inspiroidun ihmisistä sekä valojen ja varjojen teokseen luomasta tunnelmasta. Intuitioni valitsee kohdalleni osuvan ihmisen, josta tulee valtava tarve tehdä maalaus. Ikä tai sukupuoli eivät määrittele kohdetta, vaan persoona itsessään. Yleensä pyydän saada tutustua häneen paremmin. Luonteen tulkitseminen on minulle tärkeää. Prosessoin aihetta oman mielikuvitukseni tuella, joskus hyvinkin pitkään. Olen taiteilijana monipuolinen, mutta viime aikoina olen keskittynyt ihmisen kuvaamiseen realistisesti ja silti sadunomaisesti. Koen että ihmiset tarvitsevat myös onnellisia ja kauniita maalauksia samaistuakseen hyvään oloon. Media syöttää liian paljon pahaa oloa, joten vaihtoehdoksi haluan tarjota maalausteni välityksellä katsojalle hyvää mieltä.

Since my childhood I have studied the facial expressions of my friends and family. When I paint I’m most fascinated of the person as such. To me a human being is a miracle: The way the person unintentionally tells about his/her feelings with gestures and facial expressions. I get inspired by the people as much as the lights and shadows that create the atmosphere to the painting. My intuition chooses the person I come across with and I get the feeling that I absolutely must paint that person. Age or sex are not relevant, but the person as such. Usually I ask for a permission to learn more about him/her. Interpreting the person’s character Is vital to me. I keep processing the theme with the help of my own imagination, sometimes for a very long time. As an artist I am diverse, but recently I have concentrated on painting a person realistically but fabulously. My experience is that people also need happy and beautiful paintings to be related to wellbeing. We get packed with despair by the media, so as an option I want to offer happiness to the spectators through my paintings.
